How I choose a collection
With my eyes open, my heart full
Every year I go to trade fairs, most often to Italy, Spain and Germany, where footwear and fashion have a deep tradition, but I also visit other European countries. I follow new collections, touch materials, look at details, try on cuts. And most importantly – I look at what has soul and style.
I am not a salesman who orders ten boxes of shoes according to the numbers in the catalog. I am a woman who stands behind the Leda brand, choosing, testing, and thinking about each pair as if she were buying it for herself.
I am interested in meaning
I follow the brands I choose for a long time. I know what to expect from them, I know their manufacturers, often even the faces of the people who make them, and I also try to bring them closer to you in videos on social networks. I look not only at the appearance, but also at how it will be walked on, how it fits, whether the material breathes, how long it will last. And if it has something extra – a story, quality, fair origin.
I choose for women, not for mannequins
Every piece I bring to Leda must be not only beautiful, but above all functional. That's why I look for shoes and clothes that think about comfort, flexibility and real life. Not for catwalk shows, but for an ordinary day where people rush, stand, sit, laugh and dance.
In each collection, I think about different figures, age categories and needs. Fashion should fit, not scratch, not make you hold your breath. This is doubly true for shoes. That's why I look for widths, soft insoles, higher insteps and plus size cuts that look elegant and work in movement. In each collection, I think about different figures, age categories and needs.
I test and combine
Every piece you see on the e-shop or in the store has passed through my hands. I often try it on myself, combine it with what we already have in our offer and imagine how you will look in it.
I create collections that are meant to be with you for a long time
I like things that you like so much that you wear them again and again. And that you don't like just this year, but also in two years. That's why the selection is never quick or superficial. It's a process full of searching, considering and enthusiasm, which often includes several hours of work on one brand. If you've ever wondered why we have "different" pieces at Leda than you can find elsewhere - that's why. Because I choose them personally, consciously and with love.
